About Us

Mobility Excellence specializes in accessibility products, high complex rehabilitation, personal mobility equipment and custom home modifications. We provide a stress free option to investigate life enhancing products and services.

At our Demonstration Center customers can preview a selection of safe walk-in bath tubs or barrier free roll in showers. Test drive a scooter or power wheel chair. Try out a stair lift, patient lift or vertical platform lift. These are just a few of the products available for you to come in and try out.

Locally owned and operated, Mobility Excellence offers some extensive experience in medical mobility equipment, home accessibility products and home modifications.

Rick Blanchard, VP of Sales and Rehabilitation Services

Rick is a certified ATP/CRTS and is a member of RESNA and NRRTS. His extensive training in the area of high complex rehabilitation gives him the ability to properly fit individuals to the right mobility equipment that best meets their needs. Rick himself has been a wheelchair user for 36 years and has devoted his life to helping the disabled community.

Scott Peraino, VP of Construction

Scott has been in the construction industry since 1977 and has been a licensed general contractor since 1981. He is experienced in supervising crews and has strong ongoing relationships with an outstanding roster of subcontractors. His superb work ethic, attention to customer needs and "hands on" skills has made Scott a great addition to the Mobility Excellence home modification division.

Don Young, VP of Operations

Don handles our IT department and web design along with daily operational task. He also heads up our service and repair division. Don's niece was diagnosed with spina bifida at birth and is one of many reasons Don has recently made a career change to go into the mobility/accessibility industry.

Barry Fennell, President

Barry is the founder of Mobility Excellence. His desire to help those in the disabled community and the aging population of San Diego was inspired by a close friend having had a stroke and seeing a need for a higher level of customer service in these areas.
